New Narratives
Featuring over 40 multi-disciplinary artists, New Narratives challenges the current cultural narratives of climate change and explores the volatile relationship between art and environmental activism. New Narratives is an evening of site specific dance cycling, a life size vivarium, roving fortune tellers, an interactive shadow puppet installation, and more with each audience member invited to curate their own unique experience of the works.
Audience members receive a map and set out on a scavenger hunt looking for the 9 site specific pieces in Gastown. The outdoor performances is followed by a free social gathering at the Golden Saucer Studio with live music and a special presentation from Tallulah Winkleman (Theatre on Earth) about Wild Mind, a new community initiative by the Environmental Youth Alliance. All proceeds donated to the Environmental Youth Alliance Wild Mind Project.
